Catch 22 (below) is a captivating series of abstract monoprints that delves into the realm of limited color palettes and their potential for creating captivating dynamics. The inspiration behind its name stems from a serendipitous incident where I found myself using a used copy of Joseph Heller's iconic novel, Catch 22, as a makeshift sketchbook. This unplanned encounter led to a burst of creativity the following day when I had to embark on a printing session and needed to flesh out some ideas. The resulting artworks are a testament to the power of spontaneity and artistic exploration.
