Join me for a delicious 3 day workshop focusing entirely on abstraction with a combination of oil media and pigment sticks.  Mornings will begin with demonstrations, informal discussion of media and methods, proceed with color exercises focusing on opacity , transparency and compositional force.  Adventurous mark making will be a part of this workshop.  For continuing painters.

Masks and gloves and social distancing an important component of this workshop. enrollment limited to 8.

YOU BRING:

Cold wax:  Gamblin preferred
Your collection of oil  paints
Gamblin Galkyd Gel ( in a tube)
Oil Pigment Sticks: R & F preferred(   Paul De Marrais also) Sennelier, Shiva, Winsor Newton are acceptable but not nearly as malleable)
Citra- Solv ( in lieu of Turpentine)
Additional mark making tools :
Woody pencils, Soft Pastels, Waterbased Graphite tablets( Made by Art Graf- Amazon)

SURFACES:

Arches Oil Paper-  At least 3 sheets 22″x30″
Purchase also a pad of 9″x12″ for short term studies.
Comes in a variety of sizes- For exercises and developed paintings. Highly   recommended and capable of being mounted on panels upon finishing.
D’Arch Cold pressed watercolor paper gessoed is fine
1  cradled panel minimum 16″x20″

ADDITIONAL TOOLS:
Brushes of all sizes- can be disposable
Scrapers, Spatulas, Color Shapers
Nitrile Gloves
Abundant supply of rags
